He followed me home.

Can’t you just see this little guy telling his Mom that? IMG_4078 copy

I think I can even remember telling my mom that one a few times….and of course, when my little monkey was growing up, we were always bringing home lost animals together and yes…I’ve been know to stop traffic, on the freeway…..at least twice.

There was a time though, when I thought….uh ohhhhhh, What. Have. I. Done? One day…..Courtney called me at work, to ask what to do about the pigeon she found in the street, that was about to get hit by all the cars.

Courtney: Mom, I just saved a pigeon from being hit by a bunch a cars…

Me: (deep breath)…How……?

Courtney: Well, after I found a box in the trash and something to scoop up the pigeon, I found a man at the gas station filling up his car who didn’t speak any English and convinced him to stop all the traffic, while I ran out into the (3 lane, mini freeway) street to pick up the pigeon.

Me: WHAT?!?!?!?!!!

For starters…whatever happened to don’t talk to strangers?

All that was missing was the Mission Impossible music.

For my card I chose this precious image from Mo Manning…..love her!

Thanks so very much for visiting and have a fantastic week.

California was having such a pleasant, mild summer.

Emphasis on was.  Holey Moley is it ever HOT! If I were laying next to George Clooney, poolside with an umbrella drink, and ocean view, ….. and it was five  twenty years ago…I might feel differently…but now it’s just HOT!

I had such a great time with this folded frame card (not George Clooney fun, but fun still). Beate of Fresh and Fun has a fantastic video tutorial.

I think I need weekend, after my weekend.

Yesterday, I had to pick up a couple of items for my $crapbook room. Right  before I was just about to head out the door, Courtney called and thought that a trip to Ikea sounded  fun.
It’s not often that the two of us go shopping together anymore and we NEVER go without the little ones, which means when we do go shopping, it’s a quick in and out, because little ones need naps…and bottles and food. Silly kids.
Yesterday’s little trip to Ikea, reminded me of the old days, before season passes at Disneyland……. We used to be there before the gates opened and they would have to kick us out at closing time, kicking and screaming. It wasn’t pretty. That’s just what my little trip to Ikea turned into yesterday.  We even had to take a break for nourishment.  It really was a ton of fun though, spending the day with my little monkey.
Ok…so she’s not so little anymore, but she is still my monkey.
Our current challenge at Scrappy Frogs is a Slider Card and I had so much fun with this challenge! I followed this tutorial on Splitcoast.

Who’s idea was the whole 5 day workweek, 2 day weekend thingy? Hmmm?

How long have we been doing things this way. I say, it’s time for a change. Heck, I’d even be willing to throw in a few an extra day or two every once in a while. Are you with me gang?
The challenge at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central is Paper Piecing.  For my card I chose  #867, Gift Tilda, from Stamping Scrapping.com. I paper pieced the gifts in Tilda’s hands.

To add a bit of depth to the image, I added 2 more layers of paper to the gifts…and if you look very closely…you can almost see.

I’m just a little sad right now….

The Bachelorette didn’t choose the right guy…again. She could have asked me,…I would have told her, dang it. Stupid show. To the next Bachelor/Bachelorette,…just call me,…I’ll tell you. I’m good with that. Besides, it would save us both a lot of heartache.  ;)

Our challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is the always adorable and for me, under utilized Edwin. I’m really going to need to add more Edwin's to my Magnolia family. IMG_4033 copy
For my card, I chose Edwin-Is this Your Egg? There are bunches and bunches of Edwin's in stock at StampingScrapping.com along with the Bon Voyage collection,
which is up for pre-order right now.

I added a few ribbon flowers, which I stitched together after my wonderful friend Gail suggested this video.

My sentiment was one my evil twin came up with and was printed on my computer.
